Protea Chemicals: Driver Assistants x 2 Positions

This position will be responsible to assist for deliveries at Protea Chemicals in Gauteng.

 

Qualifications

Matric (Grade 12) essential.

Experience 1 Years experience in Driving Hazardous Vehicles;

Experience in Chemical Bulk Environment preferred.

 

Duties

Distribution deliveries and Upliftments to and from customers;
Manoeuvre trucks into loading or unloading positions and checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned;
Check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate;
Perform daily checklist on the truck according to checklist;
Ensure that truck is always roadworthy.

Must have good communication skills, good decision making skills;
Have the ability to effectively communicate with customers;
Must be focused on safety and proactive in identifying near misses and other risks;
Physically fit and energetic;
Sober habits;
Prepared to work shifts, weekends and overtime.
