MANAGER: PUBLIC RELATIONS REF NO: C1/15/5

SALARY : R532, 278 per annum (An all-inclusive remuneration package)
CENTRE : Head Office: Polokwane

REQUIREMENTS : NQF 6 qualification in Public Relations / Media Studies / Communication Science
or equivalent. Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in communication
Services or Public Relation. Valid driver’s license. Computer literacy (MS office
applications). Knowledge of applicable legislative Government frameworks and
relevant legislation. Strong supervisory skills. Good communication skills (both verbal and written) including interpersonal skills. Good writing skills. Strategic
leadership and management capabilities. Presentation skills.

DUTIES : To provide content for department publications. Develop policies and procedure
guidelines governing the implementation and distribution of information the
department. To provide assistance and support to district communicators.
Support, monitor and evaluate events in the department. Monitor and scan the
media environment. Budget management and supervision of staff of the Unit.
Perform any related tasks and aassignments as may be delegated by the Senior Manager
