Job Title: Senior Network Engineer – Parktown, JHB (Copy)
Location: Parktown

Job Summary:
Will be responsible for the standards, policies and designs of all of our infrastructure. Will also need to have extensive experience in the implementation of networks and firewalls – e.g. needs to be hands on.

Responsible for designing, installation, configuring and maintenance of enterprise infrastructure services.

Outputs:

Install hardware, systems, and software.
Administer servers and server clusters.
Manage all system back-up and restore procedures.
Perform troubleshooting analysis to resolve any infrastructure issues.
Documents problems and resolution for future reference.
Monitors system performance and implements performance tuning.
Manage user accounts, permissions, email, anti-virus, anti-spam.
Implement standards and policies.
Network engineer: Install, configure, maintain network services, equipment and devices.

Experience, Skills and Knowledge:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience
Specific experience in Microsoft Server, Active Directory, Exchange, VMWare, Veeam
Thorough knowledge of networking essentials.
Strong communication skills and analytical skills
Microsoft Office Applications.
Microsoft Operating Systems.

Qualifications:

MUST HAVE HIGHER GRADE MATHEMATICS – NON NEGOTIABLE!!! PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT MEET THIS REQUIREMENT.

Essential – Diploma or a Degree in Information Systems, Engineering or Mathematical Sciences.

Beneficial – MCSE or other Tertiary Networking/Computer Science qualification.
