Our Telecoms company located in Midrand is seeking a EHS Officer with 5-10 years’ experience to join our dynamic and pro-active team.

The applicant must have Vodacom, Huawei, MTN, Nokia and Telecommunications experience
Also experience with gate 2 submission

Job Summary:
Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepare and improve various personnel related procedures, documents and work processes to ensure their applicability and effectiveness.
To complete the annual occupational health, safety, environment, and fire-fighting key tasks and goals and indicators, and promote the daily work of the branch’s occupational health, safety, environment, and fire-fighting management system.
. Carry out regular occupational health, safety, environment, and fire protection inspections to ensure that various related problems are corrected and prevented in a timely manner, and provide suggestions and guidance for rectification.
. Plan, organize, and implement occupational health, safety, environment, and fire-fighting related training for the branch.
. Participate in the implementation of occupational health, safety, environment, and fire protection assessments, put forward relevant control requirements and supervise the implementation.
. Participate in the analysis of accidents and put forward rectification suggestions, track the closure of rectification measures, count, summarize, and report various accidents, and establish and improve accident files.
. Participate in the implementation of safety production standardization management system internal audit, management review, third-party supervision and audit work, and track and implement the rectification of related issues.
Implement and monitor all HSE management systems on site, including, but not limited to HSE guidelines, objectives and practices.
Schedule and execute audits on site to identify areas of improvement and implement measures as required.
Carry out risk assessments on a continuous basis on site.
Provide HSE training, awareness and induction on site to staff, contractors and other relevant parties.
Engage with staff, contractors and other relevant parties with respect to HSE matters related to the site.
Keep HSE statistical records, such as incidents, accidents, near-misses and working hours on site.
Keep HSE registers up to date, including renewals of permits, licenses, etc.

Desired Experience & Qualification:
Grade12 minimum
SAMTRAC qualification
Computer Literate
Experience working on Vodacom Projects and Gate 1 & 2 submissions
Advanced knowledge of MS Office.
Up-to-date knowledge of relevant HSE legislation (OHS Act and Regulations, NEMA, COIDA, etc.), environmental regulations and safety procedures
Minimum 5 years OHS certification or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years relevant experience in Telecommunication
Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with HSE management systems and relevant standards.
Certified risk assessor, would be an advantage
Experience in working with quality management systems
Valid driver’s license is required

Administer and maintain non-conformance and suggestion systems, including Corrective and Preventative Action Requests (CPAR), Non-conformance Report
(NCR) and Field Performance Report (FPR) systems.
Ensure quality requirements are met by both internal and external audit, review of inspection reports and analysis of non-conformance reporting.
Ensure quality plans are produced when required and meet requirements.
Ensure internal quality standards are maintained and monitored.
Other QM-related duties as assigned by the HSE&Q Manager.
