The South African Graduate Development Program is designed to take graduates and develop them as leaders for the future. The program is about real responsibility and real results, while creating an environment where Graduates develop through practical learning and activity. We are currently hiring Sales Graduates who will initially be based in Johannesburg.
- The Sales Graduate Program is designed for high potential leaders of the future with the aim of developing talent from entry level and moving them to the Sales Director level in a period of 10 – 12 years. It will support our aim to grow a large percentage of tomorrow’s top management from within. It provides a continuous stream of talent, able to make an impact at all levels of the organisation as their careers develop.
- It is a structured flexible program that puts Graduates in the spotlight from Day 1. We offer distinctive development assignments allowing the graduate to experience a broad spectrum of valuable Commercial experience. Each assignment has specific on-the-job “learnings”, which are combined with formal training courses. In addition, Graduates are expected to take on high profile projects (not always related to the assignment they are in at a particular time) to ensure visibility within the organisation. The Sales Graduates will also have exposure to brand management and will work in a marketing team for a period of 6 months in the first year.
On-going evaluation of progress with decision points. Following each assignment the Graduate completes a standard assessment process with their line manager. There are also formal reviews with the line manager biannually. This is a key decision point when any future assignment and development is discussed and agreed.
- Graduates will perform real roles through a rotation of 6 month’s each between the sales and marketing function. Within each role, there will be a role profile with objectives which Graduates will be expected to meet specific to that particular role. Assignments would cover exposure to Trade Marketing, Brand Management, Key Account Management.
After one year of traineeship, Graduates would take on the role of a Key Account Executive
or Trade Marketing Executive within Reckitt Benckiser in South Africa.
