Job Description

Implement World-Class Inventory management tools and systems optimization nationally. Ensure high levels of stock integrity and accuracy.

Principal Accountabilities

Ensure accurate inventory quantities and safety levels are maintained at all facilities nationally. Ensure inventory shrinkage is kept to an absolute minimum.
Ensure inventory shrinkage is kept to an absolute minimum by implementing proper controls.
Ensure inventory data integrity checks and variation reports are done at all times.
Implement systems & tools that will ensure highest inventory accuracy is maintained to support the business.
Ensure all warehouse / distribution inventory processes are correctly documented in SOPs and teams are trained accordingly.
Investigate & identify root causes of inventory discrepancies in receiving & despatch processes and develop corrective actions to eliminate recurrence.
Maintain, report and distribute all warehouse / distribution inventory KPIs.
Ensure all warehouse / distribution inventory training is up to date and documented.
Audit Inventory movements in Despatch, Household and Pharma processes.
Ensure rework stock, Co-packer stock, outside storage and Manufacturing inventory transactions are completed correctly and reconciled.
Plan, lead and direct daily, weekly and monthly Stock counts from a systems perspective for all locations nationally.
Constantly review storage capacity planning, set up and optimisation to ensure business is not interrupted.
Optimize material flow in warehouse. Implement FIFO principles.
Product location planning, pick face sequencing, optimisation and system rule maintenance.
Warehouse / distribution inventory systems improvements / continuous improvement.
Initiate and implement inventory control systems that will ensure highest customer service levels are achieved in terms of PFR and OFR

Job Qualifications:

· A bachelor’s degree
· Minimum 2 years inventory control experience in an FMCG environment at a supervisory level.
· CPIM or CSCP qualification will be an added advantage
· Microsoft Access database programming experience
· Advanced JD Edwards & WMS integration knowledge and application
· Knowledge of Fleet Logistics Operations package, ISO9000 experience, with SOP writing capabilities
