Job Description

Job Purpose
To provide necessary HR support to the department through managing ad hoc HR projects as per business needs whilst providing a variety of Human Resources Management and administration support to the management development and HR admin pillars

Key Accountabilities
People Management
Recruitment full function, authorisation – sign-off, send out job profiles, recommend recruitment agency, screening internal applicants, interview with line, interview with functional head and then interview General Manager. Use selection blueprint as a tool – first interview.
Responsible for offer, comp and benefits proposal, offer, contract.
Responsible for the induction of all new employees in area. (Company overview, pension, medical aid )
People Movement
Transfers, promotions etc.
Co-ordinating all exit documents and exit interview. Exit interviews at least three weeks before they leave.
Compensation and Benefits
Benefits queries, salary surveys, provide data, co-ordinate overtime and authorise for supply. Time and attendance system and manage casual labour – supply.
Manage cell-phones in terms of the policy, motor vehicles.
Queries on leave. Leave system will handle applications etc.
Systems updates
Open Job Posting, HR Access, need to be updated. Management of area all people movements. Accuracy real-time.
Performance Management
PDR and PIP and probation facilitation and co-ordination.
Industrial Relations
Management of IR process for area of responsibility in close liaison with MDM.
Outsource CCMA.
To timeously provide all related data to the MDM for consolidation, assessment and recommendations.
Head count reports to finance.
Monthly HR KPi’s reports, salary increase recommendations. Ad hoc reports
Ad hoc projects
Active part in ad-hoc projects such as talent management process in the guidance of the MDM.
Employment equity
Keep records of EE compliance, and implement policies and procedures.
HR Executives to back up each other when necessary.

Qualification, Knowledge and Experience
Related diploma or equivalent qualification in Human Resources – essential
2-3 years experience within the Human Resources Administration field with exposure to all aspects of administration, recruitment, training and development and employment equity
Knowledge of LRA, BCEA, EEA and SD acts and other related acts
Understanding of performance management processes and systems
Knowledge of payroll processes and systems -knowledge of VIP is an advantage
Computer literate – strong Excel and Database Management skills
Administration skills
Excellent communication skills
