The purpose of the IT Governance Manager is to create, maintain and implement an IT Governance Framework to ensure that the regulatory compliance requirements are embedded within governance structures, whilst developing and implementing controls aimed at mitigating audit risks. Furthermore, the IT Governance Manager interacts with a variety of internal and external stakeholders such as operational functional teams, consultants etc. Business stakeholders will look to you for proactive, collaborative advice on a variety of IT governance topics.

Qualifications:
Diploma or degree in IT, Auditing or equivalent – (essential).

Experience:
+4 years relevant experience in a similar role
Minimum 12 years of Governance, security and data protection experience
Experience in working with corporate governance and its governance forums and process
Experience in IT, information security, risk management, auditing and incident response and recovery
Good knowledge of all IT technical components
Strong understanding of multi-disciplinary nature of IT solutions and managing information security, risk management, auditing, incident response and recovery projects and BAU – (essential).
Cross-functional knowledge of multiple cyber security disciplines, including planning, implementing and running security capabilities – (essential).
Strong MS Office skills – (essential).

IT Governance – Able to judge the effectiveness of IT policies, procedures and methodologies that support the entity’s strategic plan. Demonstrates extensive knowledge of technology-related best practices and processes. Develops a practical solution to enhance the development and implementation of standards and procedures for a major functional area. Knows about the business and IT change environment.
Proactively applies and lives out the company and team values in everyday interactions and engagements and in delivery of goals and objectives.
Exceptional analytical skills with strong problem-solving ability – Integrates various sources of information to plan, prioritize, anticipate and mitigate problems and embed the right structures and foundations.
Strong technical aptitude with a passion and excitement for IT governance, cybersecurity and data protection and its range of possibilities, applications and value for the business. Uses technical knowledge along with data standards and best practices to apply sound judgment to drive performance, compliance and consistency.

Job objectives:
Manages and maintains all policies and standards relevant to technological governance
Ensure all IT practices, policies and procedures are compliant with regulatory requirements
Establish and maintain a documented IT governance framework/ regime
Coordinate the development and ongoing maintenance of IT policies and procedures
Maintain a schedule of policy review and submissions
Communicate the governance activities, policies and decisions with the IT Leadership and Business Leadership and keep them informed of IT governance decisions that will affect IT services and projects
Provide highly skilled technical and information security expertise for information on security risk management
Deep understanding of data environment and data movement, including protecting endpoints, data threat vectors, and relevant mitigating controls.
Interact with numerous teams across IT: Architecture, Engineering, Operations, Project/Program Management, Legal, and Data & Analytics to develop, enhance and drive the vision and effectiveness of the end point and data security program
Ensure data security initiatives adhere to continually changing privacy and legal compliance requirements
Assess and evaluate end point and data security control effectiveness, and drive towards improved control effectiveness, consistency and maturity across the organization
