Job Summary:
The incumbent would be responsible for processing dailies from set for client, editorial and archiving, ensuring projects are processed within the scope of clients brief. Takes ownership in managing and communicating with the client and internal production daily as needed by the project. Ability to excel at focus work and attention to detail a must. High level of discipline required due to the potential financial and litigious repercussions of work not being delivered exactly as per client’s requirements.
Understands the details and process steps that go into processing and grading dailies. The incumbent would also be required to know the basic of camera formats and lenses, and the needs of different editorial systems.

1. Operator

-Assisting with the execution of datacentric workflows on an operational level, including but not limited to the below functions
-Processing of dailies rushes from set and prepping for distribution to various online viewing platforms and editorial packages
-Logging of metadata based on all documents available as well as slate information on camera
-Framing accurate audio/picture sync
-Colour corrections and timings based on notes from set or in house direction
-Quality control of both picture and audio.
-Monitoring and management of passive processes, such as output renders and verified data backups to magnetic media (LTO)
-In depth reporting both regarding any issues or notes pertaining to the footage for the day as well as general daily information which needs to be distributed to various contact lists.
-Effective, efficient communications daily with production and client as to the status of the work being done.
-Communicating clearly and timeously any problems or possible problems that might arise. These may be, but are not limited to, issues with the camera files coming form set, or issues with the ability to deliver dailies on time.

Requirements:
A relevant school leaving certificate
A relevant qualification within Film Production
A minimum of 6 months experience in dailies
Having worked on two International features (Advantageous)
