Job Title: Student Development Advisor
Job Location: Cape Town
Responsibilities:
- Student support and development
- Networking and Liaison with Institutional Staff and other relevant Stakeholders
- Administration and data management
- Workshop organisation and facilitation
Requirements:
- Minimum of two years’ minimum experience working with youth, preferably in the higher education sector or student support services
- Undergraduate qualification in social work or related discipline
- Fluency in IsiXhosa and/or Afrikaans
- Unendorsed driver’s licence with driving experience
- Coaching and mentoring skills
- Relationship building and interpersonal skills
- Written and verbal communication
- Facilitation skills
- Computer literacy – Microsoft Suite and database systems
- Knowledge of the Higher Education Institution sector
- Solutions-oriented and resourceful
- Team player
- Self-management skills
- Self-motivated, ethical with professional maturity and has high work energy levels
- Ability to relate well to students, build collaborative relationships with relevant university staff and be strong administratively
