Minimum Requirements…
Key Requirements
· South African Citizen with a valid Passport
· National Diploma qualification or equivalent, preferably in a Sales or Operations
· At least 10 years experience working in the field of Sales/ Aviation management
· Proven and demonstrable experience of managing sales and operations
· Proven and demonstrable experience of driving sales targets
· Excellent writing skills.
· Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
· Computer literate with good MS Office Skills.
· Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to influence across the organization and
externally.
· Confidence to represent SA Express externally
· High level of diplomacy

 

Job Specification…
Summary of Key Responsibilities
Strategy
· Develop and implement a sales strategy and activity plan to defend and grow the airline’s sales and market share in each country,
· Strategically monitor Lesotho market and continuously review sales outcomes with regard to set budgets and route profitability and recommend opportunities for improvement to management ,
· Develop and maintain country-wide networks and relationships

2, Business planning
· Develop and implement strategy for Lesotho ,
· Monitor, review and update the strategy accordingly.

Sales-Lesotho
· Strategic execution of the sales strategy,
· Define and track performance for trade,
· Define and track performance for corporate clients,
· Define and track performance for all market segments as defined in the Business plan
· Manage and drive sales

Market analysis
· Detail analysis and interpretation of route performance
· Provide statistical and analytical data on a regular basis as required, i.e. daily, weekly, monthly utilising available sources, e.g. PAX-IS, BSP data
· Conduct route profitability in order to diagnose problems and opportunities
· Ensure that market research and competitor analysis is continuously conducted and develop and implement strategies aligned to research findings

Market development
· Strategically monitor both the Lesotho market,
· Review sales and marketing outcomes to the agreed budgets and route profitability,
· Recommend opportunities for profitable business to DM Regional Expansion:

  • o Route expansion
  • o Route profitability
  • o Formulate and implement country specific strategies to improve operational efficiencies

 

Process management
· Proactively monitor Lesotho route performance ,
· Ensure that financial and other systems and controls are in place and in-line with governance practices and company policies,

o Monitor advance bookings data ,
o Work with Revenue management/ DM Regional Expansion on route pricing and ways to maximize yields and revenue per flights
o Periodic pre-flight control in order to reduce no-shows,
o Weekly and monthly report to Divisional Manager

 

Budget and Financial Management
· Compile annual Regional route budget,
· Work with revenue and scheduling to compile budgets,
· Analysis of the previous years and current budget,

· Compile budget assumptions for the Region,
· Cost containment to support airline’s overall objective: by closing monitoring and adherence to the budget
· Prepare and manage annual cost budgets

 

Customer care
· Develop and implement a integrated customer service plan for the entire customer service value chain:
Customer Complaints Management
· Respond to input from customers (complaints, praise and concerns),
· Enhance communication to customers with regards to irregular operations,
· Determine quick-response to deal with immediate customer issues as they arise,
· Identify root causes of issues and provide proposals to the management team for improving the system/s and service/s
Reports
· Provide monthly performance evaluations and develop action plans to meet service standards,
timelines, accuracy, productivity and business goals,
· Monthly reports on customer complaints and customer complaints management ,

Reservations
· Management reservations office in order to ensure that the department is manned in a
professional and efficient manner

Relationship Building
· Maintain and manage dialogue through regular face to face contact with key players in the
relevant government and other strategic partners to identify, lobby, influence and promote the SA Express operations in the country ,
· Develop and maintain country wide networks and relationships ( government, airlines etc ) in
the respective countries,
