Post title : Colonel (MMS)
Remuneration : R608, 610 per annum

Component : Provincial Legal Services- Crime Operations Support

Additional post requirements:
LLB Degree / Bachelor of Laws / B Proc with at least 5 years appropriate /
relevant experience in the field of the post. Must be proficient in providing both
written and verbal legal advice and report writing.

Core functions:
The interpreting of legislation. The rendering of legal advice on the execution of
delegated powers and duties. The providing of legal standards of policing in
accordance with legal principles and the law. The rendering of legal support on
investigation outcomes. Proper management and utilization of all resources
allocated to the immediate post environment in accordance with relevant
directives and legislation.

 

2. Post title : Provincial Commander Legal Services– Litigation
Post title : Colonel (MMS)

relevant experience in the field of the post. Must be proficient in providing both
written and verbal legal advice and report writing.

Core functions:
Rendering legal advisory service on all litigation matters (Civil and Labour). Give
instructions regarding legal representation on Litigation matters within the
Province. Provide legal advice on employment matters, collective bargaining and
collective agreements, labour relations including discipline and grievances and
drafting of employment contracts. Ensure proper administration of litigation files.
Proper management and utilization of all resources allocated to the immediate
post environment in accordance with relevant directives and legislation.

Additional post requirements:
Applicants must at least have a three year theological qualification at a
recognized institution (SAQA accredited – NQF 6) Ordination certificate as
preacher (i.e. minister of religion) by the ecclesiastical denomination concerned.
Applicants must submit proof of good standing certificate by ecclesiastical
denomination concerned. Knowledge, skills and three (3) years extensive proven
post ordination experience as a minister of religion. Computer literacy,
interpersonal, communication and organization skills will be advantageous.

Core functions:
To minister to SAPS employees by rendering support (general and pastoral care)
programmes, interventions and projects to address the spiritual needs and wellbeing
of the SAPS. To address the spiritual needs of the SAPS employees and
their families through profession specific Spiritual Service ministry .To implement
multi-disciplinary approach interventions within the Employee Health and
Wellness environment. To maintain protocols and standards in terms of set
standards of the section spiritual services. Manage and maintain administrative
functions. Render spiritual service programs, projects and ministering to stations
and units.
