Job Description

ChemSystems is looking for a suitable Technical Sales Representative for Tribochem Mining Services for the Northern Cape. ChemSystems provides chemical products to a diverse range of industries through its six business units. Chemisphere Technologies supply chemicals to the pulp, paper and leather industries. Applied Castings Solutions supplies resins and associated products to the foundry industry. Capital Polymer Additives produces PVC heat stabilisers, plasticisers and additives. The Silicones division supplies a range of silicone polymers, Constructichem providing chemicals in the building industry, and Status Industrial Solutions manufactures and distributes an extensive range of chemicals for industrial applications. TriboChem Minings Division supplies high performance Lubricants and Degreasing Chemicals to the mining sectors in South Africa and Africa.


Duties & Responsibilities

Strengthen and expand current business with existing customers and seek new applications for existing product range.
Actively develop new business and customers by implementing lubrication related cost saving initiatives together with customers in the region.
Provide technical service and information to customers to support cost saving initiatives.
Develop and execute a sales and marketing plan for the region.
Prepare and implement annual sales and product forecast.
Maintain expenses within budget limits.
Provide service and sales reports to customers and Tribochem Management.
Be available to perform emergency callouts to customers to fulfill urgent lubrication requirements.


Qualifications & Experience

Relevant diploma or degree in marketing would be an advantage.
Qualification with mechanical bias would be an advantage.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in technical sales (value and selling) in the mining industry and specifically lubrication experience.
Must have basic computer knowledge MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.
Resides in the Kuruman/Kimberley area and be prepared to travel nationally.
Valid driver’s license.
Must have good analytical and communication skills and be able to communicate on multiple levels.
Must be a self-starter and highly motivated.
