SANRAL Scholarship Opportunity

The scholarship shall be awarded on the basis of the academic ability and preference will be given to those from rural schools, including the financial needs of the applicants.

SANRAL reserves the right to withdraw any scholarship that may have been awarded on the basis of misrepresentation by the applicant and/or that the applicant is the beneficiary of other financial support schemes.

THE SELECTION PROCESS and THE SELECTION CRITERIA

• SCHOOL FEES:(Including boarding fees if applicable)
• SPORTS UNIFORM:(One set)
• UNIFORM:(One set for summer and one set for winter)
• BOOKS & STATIONERY
• HOSTING YOU: at a gala dinner/luncheon

PLEASE NOTE:

SANRAL does not pay for the learners’ parents travel arrangements and accommodation for the luncheon.

NO ADDITIONAL ITEMS WILL BE PAID FOR ie:

• Day to day transport

• Cellphones

JULY: Application opens for the new year

SEPTEMBER: Closing date for applications – 30 September

OCTOBER: Initial selection of students

DECEMBER – JANUARY: Final selection after receipt of final exam results
