Purpose of the job:

Lead a small mechanical engineering team to support Synfuels with Mechanical Engineering activities (design, failure investigations, project improvement planning and execution of mechanical projects).

Qualifications and expertise required (Must)

§B.Eng (Mechanical)

General

§Project Management
§Project Cost Control
§Acting in higher position

Specific experience required

§3 – 5 years project experience in Petro-Chemical related industry (specifying mechanical datasheets and / or involvement in mechanical design)
§2 Year Maintenance experience in Petro-Chemical / Refinery or related Industry (exposure to pressure equipment)
§Project implementation
§Knowledge of PER
§Management of change

§Technical contract development and management

Required outputs: Functional

§Mechanical engineering design and verification within the appropriate governance
§Projects support and evaluation
§Business Case development and verification
§Improvement of the total Asset Management (Maintenance/Operation)
§Problem solving
§Provide Mechanical Support to support Synfuels
