We are looking for the following operators:

• Continuous Miner Operator
• Roofbolt Operator
• LHD Operator
• Shuttlecar Operator
• Eimco Operator

 

Purpose of the Job:

Operating of underground coal mining equipment and assist artisans and miners with general duties

 

Required Outputs: Functional
Conduct visual inspections
Examine equipment and complete safety checklist
Report all unsafe conditions to line manager
Comply with all legal requirements
Perform safe working practices and ensure adherence to all rules, regulations and safety requirements
Attendance and participation of safety meetings and toolbox talks
Housekeeping
General Duties (Customer Care, Communication – verbal and written)
Job Requirements
Qualifications and Expertise Required:

Grade 10/ STD 8
One or more of the following underground coal mining machine licenses: Roofbolt, Shuttlecar, Continuous Miner, LHD, EIMCO (Must)

 

Specific experince required:

At least 4 years underground coal mining experience (Must)
Safe operation of basic hand tools
Coal mining equipment experince
English Literate (Must)

Able to work on high equipment
