SAVE (Sexual Abuse Victim Empowerment) is a project of Cape Mental Health. The aim of SAVE is to provide access to justice for people with intellectual and/or psychosocial disability who have been sexually abused.Cape Mental Health (CMH) is a non-profit organisation that offers a comprehensive mental health service in the Cape Peninsula.

We require the services of a part-time registered clinical psychologist to join our team. This is one Wednesday per week (8hrs). The work involves conducting psychological assessments, compiling reports and in some cases, going to court as an expert witness to prepare the court for the disability of the complainant. It offers opportunities for skill enhancement and research.

 

 

Job Title: Clinical Psychologist required for psycho-legal work
Location: Cape Town

Requirements for this post include:

  • Experience in the field of intellectual and psychosocial disability
  • Proficiency in administering, scoring and interpreting psychometric assessments (ISGSA, Vinelands, Vera Grover Counter Scale)
  • Competence in psycho-legal report writing
