SBV currently seeks a Business Support Consultant to ensure there is seamless management of information between Operations DM’s as well as focusing on data management that is coming through from the Business intelligence platforms. To ensure that Operational projects are maintained as per the business processes and implemented accordingly.

Coordinate and drive BAU projects
•Drive BAU projects implementation in alignment with SBV processes and following the governance process as stipulated by PMO.
•Responsible to analyse the various priorities and impacts across Operations to drive the adoption of BAU projects within agreed timeframes
•Facilitate engagement with and across stake holders to ensure delivery of results
•To support the various divisions on planning and reporting on a monthly or quarterly basis on any running project.
•Managing and maintaining the data base (i.e. minimum requirements, conformance to governance, changing control processes) for BAU initiatives in operations.
•Negotiate sufficient resources from within Operations and other groups as appropriate in order to execute on projects.
•Effectively set and communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders.
•Define project success criteria and communicate to team throughout project life cycle.
•Develop business specifications and hand it over to technical team for system developmentBe the Ops SME to partner with Change Management Department and change agents within SBV to craft, deliver and follow through on communication of BAU initiatives.
•Plan and lead information sharing sessions to enable the various teams during the various phases of the BAU projects.
•Responsible to identify risks and associated mitigating factors to minimize exposure of project risks, bringing together the applicable stakeholders where applicable.
•Accountable to set targets and track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion and business benefit realisation
•Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with teams as well as other allocated staff members
•Accountable for the post implementation and transition close out for BAU Initiatives through:
oConduct project post-mortems and create recommendations in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
oCreate a repository of lessons learnt per project incorporating this input into the start of each new project
oEngineers and delivers a comprehensive and seamless project post-implementation transition.
•Creates a conducive environment which translates into productivity and high morale within SBV
•Inspire one’s direct / indirect team to deliver on key performance areas
•Adhere to legislative requirements and Group policies and procedures
Creation of Reporting, Business Intelligence and Insights:
•Creates, maintains, and updates project documentation including work plans and status reports submitting weekly dashboards to the Ops Steerco
•Build and monitor insights within linked to the Projects in partnership with the PMC, BI team and Reporting specialists
•Drive the management, analysis and communication of key data and management information linked to projects.
•Developing reports and maintaining the Operations SteerCO and MANCO packs for the respective meetings
•Identifying gaps and engagement opportunities between DM’s and GM’s
•To create a collective view on all operations divisions reporting to distribute at MANCO meetings
•Summarize and analyse internal information ensuring compliance to an SLA or industry requirement
•Analyze and define specifications for enhancements in performance of existing business system e.g Incentive scheme/Power BI data analysis
•Work closely with applicable stakeholders to drive and leverage off technology to create the visualization of value add data from a single source of truth
Ops Senior Leadership Secretariat function:
•Create an annual calendar of meetings for the Senior Leadership forums within Operations, for example: Steerco’s Manco’s etc.
•Draft the Terms of reference for each of the forums and providing guidance at each forum in relation to the set out governance.
•Compile the minutes, actions plans, and Portfolio’s of Evidence in accordance with the terms of reference for each forum.
•Distribution of meeting minutes and agendas prior to the next meeting
•Proactively manage targets and millstones of the Strategic objectives by ensuring alignment eg: Ops Scorecard and POE
•Support and coordinate deliverables of the Operations Manco & Steerco
•Quarterly maintenance of scorecard deliverables, receiving the proof of portfolio evidence from DM’s, collating it for review by COO.
•Provide support to DM’s and regional team with compilation of material/briefing packs for the respective meetings e.g. Ops SteerCO
•Operationalizing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and highlighting strategic impacts
•Compilation of various presentations for consumption by Executives and Boards
Lead the SBV culture:
•Provide leadership to employees within the organisation, creating a winning culture and high morale
•Initiate and lead a culture of performance driven output through shared purpose vision and values
Risk & Compliance Management:
•Identify and mitigate all risks within a project, providing visibility on a consistent basis
•Provide input towards the BCM plan and disaster recovery process to ensure availability, integrity, security and confidentiality
•Drive the delivery and approval of all project governance linked to the projects you are delivering. Should it not be a registered project with a project manager, draft, obtain approval and record / file all documentation
•Manage and maintain a central database for all internal processes, contracts, documents, etc
•To track SLA review feedback and ensure updates are maintained according to agreements with stake holders
•Drive the resolution of operational issues, creating and managing deliverables and ensuring consistency of implemented governance processes and programs.
•Implementation of governance programmes or framework in line with steerco requirement
• Drive Continuous Improvement
•Prioritize multiple demands/projects simultaneously while maintaining good working relationships with business leaders / regional team
•Support with planning and reporting in respect of quarterly/monthly and weekly review meetings and updates to material as needed
•Design and embed efficient business processes and drive continuous improvement of working practices to maximise the efficiency
•A minimum of 5 years project management experience with minimum education requirements met of which:
•2 years drafting and compiling senior management reporting and presentations
•A minimum of 7-8 years project management/coordination experience without minimum education requirements met
•A degree in project management or business management
