SENIOR ADMINISTRATION OFFICER: FINANCE
SALARY : R 212 106 per annum
CENTRE : Tygerberg Hospital, Parow Valley
REQUIREMENTS : Minimum educational qualification: Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with
Mathematics and/or Accounting as a passed subject and/or Senior Certificate (or
equivalent) with experience/competencies that focuses on the Key Performance
Areas of the post. Experience: Extensive experience in Patient Administration.
Competencies (knowledge/skills): Knowledge of a Health Information system.
Knowledge of a patient fee structure. Abreast with Patient Administration policies
and procedures. Good verbal and written communication skills in at least two of
the three official languages of the Western Cape. Good interpersonal skills and
the ability to act independently or as a team, objectively and with confidence.
Computer literate (Microsoft Office). Ability to work under pressure, handle a high
work volume and meet strict deadlines.
DUTIES : Key result areas/outputs: Manage the correct application of Patient
Administration policies and procedures pertaining to the registration, admission
and attendance procedures of all patients, Uniform Patient Fee Schedule (UPFS)
accounts and specialised offices. Ensure UPFS accounts are accurate and
timeously submitted to Fees. Monitor, evaluate stats and implement action plans
where necessary. Responsible for the supervision of Patient Administration staff
as per HR policies. Plan and monitor internal and external training program of
staff. Comply with the Code of Conduct regarding the Discipline and Grievance
procedures. Timeous completion of enquiries.
