SALARY : R148 584 per annum (Plus Benefits)
CENTRE : Tshwane Health District

REQUIREMENTS : Grade 12 certificates.. A qualification in Public Administration or
Management, Facilities Management or Maintenance Management. 3 years’
experience in Facilities management Environment. Training in Project
Management. Good office co- ordination skills including filing. Meeting
minutes compiling. Computer literacy. Training on OHS Act. Good verbal and
written communication skills. Planning and organizing skills. Provide effective
office administration in terms of controlling typed and untyped. Knowledge of
other technical fields, report writing, Health infrastructure including general
machinery and equipment knowledge. Good customer care attitude and
skills. Minimum of 3 years experience in facilities management or supervision
of maintenance. Valid driver’s licence.

DUTIES : Responsible for administration function of FMU. Communicate constantly with
Department of infrastructure Development Regions with regards to
building/electrical/mechanical/structural maintenance defects. Manage
records keeping pertaining to all minor and major repairs. Do walkabouts and

site visits as required to identify repairs or maintenance and report to
authorities for further attention. Ensure Responsible to compile and keep
weekly record of all defects reported, completed and assigned to GDID –
Chief Artisan and Control Works inspectors. Assist Area Managers and PHC
facility Managers to capture and update electronic data on a daily basis.
Assist with building inspections and auditing with implementing agent and
assist with facility Management Unit daily activities. Responsible for ensuring
that all defects or minor new works requests from the end- users are loaded
on the Gauteng Department of Infrastructure Development (GDID) emaintenance
system. Liaison with internal and external stake holders.
Ensuring sorting, forwarding and screening of telephone, fax,
correspondence and documentation in the FMU.
