Main Purpose of the job
Develop continuous improvement strategies for the Facility Manufacturing and Converting Assets. Ensure that sustaining programs are adhered to within legal, business, environmental and cost guidelines. Providing leadership to develop the Mechanical Engineering team and the application of good Engineering

 

Principal Accountabilities
Safety:
Ensures Corporate, Regulatory and Regional compliance requirements are adhered to and accurate records are kept with regards to Plant and Machinery.
Comply with all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) rules and regulations at all times. (e.g.10 critical safety rules and three obligations)
Ensure safety job cards are prioritized and are completed in a timely manner.
Carryout proactive safety inspections and active monitoring.
Manage and review the contracts and contractor control procedures and rules for the facility.
Good understanding of Environmental, legal and KCC statutory requirements.
Quality:
Carries out RCAs on repeat defective equipment.
Review content of daily check lists
Develop and maintain an effective planned and preventative maintenance procedure for the plant and machinery.
Ensures Kimberly Clark Planned and Preventative Maintenance Schedules are adhered to and audited/updated annually or as and when required.
Key stakeholder to ensure standards and procedures are up to date and applied.
Housekeeping:
Maintain world class levels of housekeeping according to the 5’s housekeeping standards.
General:
Capable of leading and motivating a team setting objectives and driving performance management.
Responsible for the maintenance strategy on the Enstra Assets to provide continuous improvement in uptime and yield.
Periodic stand-in for the Engineering Manager.
Key driver of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) programmes and cost-saving initiatives

Job Requirements
Essential Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications
Minimum of a BSc/ Degree in Mechanical Engineering, BTech or equivalent tertiary education. GCC Mechanical Factories required.
Minimum of 10 years previous engineering and maintenance experience in Manufacturing & FMCG environment

Prior experience working with a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) SAP PM would be an advantage
