As a Senior Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for the business development of Low Voltage Switchgear into the mineral & mining & petro-chemical market – South Africa and the Sub Sahara region. ABB the world leader in offering the Low Voltage Products and systems that provide protection, control and measurement for electrical installations, enclosures, switchboards, electronics and electromechanical devices for industrial machines, plants and related service.
You as a Senior Sales Engineer will be responsible for the following tasks:
-Investigate business opportunities in the mineral & mining & petro-chemical market. Based on the investigation establish a project pursuit plan that will support the growth strategy of the Low Voltage Systems Business Unit.
-Investigate opportunities in other segments in line with the BU growth initiatives.
-Adopting hands on approach towards establishing and developing excellent relationships with existing or new customers.
-Develop a high level of customer satisfaction in all activities such as demonstrations, customer events, solutions engineering and on site commissioning etc.
-Promoting ABB products and systems and the customer benefits, not only related to the Business Unit.
-Continuously analyze the market to ensure thorough knowledge and input to the business and marketing plan with regards to competition levels, growth potential and market shares.
-Identify and follow potential business leads from early pursuits through project execution.
-Where required, help outside of assigned segment as requested by management.
Your B.Tech / Equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering with minimum 5 years of experience in technical sales with your deep knowledge of process industries, e.g. Petro-Chemical and Mining and of ABB products and solutions or equivalent would make you an ideal fit for this requirement.
Your passion for improving customers’ plant processes and ability to give the best possible support to them in all aspects would be a plus
