SENIOR SUPPLY CHAIN OFFICER: ASSETS AND INVENTORY MANAGEMENT X2 REF NO: SD/2014/45/P

SALARY : R227 802 per annum (plus benefits).
CENTRE : Head Office
REQUIREMENTS : Three year tertiary qualification/Grade 12 with 3 years experience in the field of assets and inventory management. Well conversant with legislation regulating Financial, Supply Chain, Inventory and Assets Management. Knowledge of SAP, BAS, Assets and Inventory Management system.
Valid driver’s licence. Skills and Competencies: Good interpersonal relations, analytical, financial management, communication, negotiation, Organising, planning, project management and problem solving skills. Computer literacy
DUTIES : Maintenance of Asset Registers including consolidation. Conducting reconciliation of financial reports with asset. Register and dealing with variances. Implementation of asset verification and disposal plan.
Monitor barcoding of newly acquired assets. Monitor movement of assets and ensure that the inventory lists and asset register are updated accordingly. Monitor implementation of the departmental asset management policy. Coordinate procurement of assets as per asset management policy.
Prepare submission for the asset management committee and implement decisions thereof. Coordinate procurement of inventory items at Head Office. Monitor compliance with legislative requirement in the management of inventory. Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports. Supervision of staff documents management.
