Senior/Principle Water & Waste Water Treatment Engineer

Primary Objectives

Provide technical and project management support to multi-disciplinary water and wastewater treatment projects.

 

Specific Accountabilities

Actively participate in and contribute to the technical aspects of projects in order to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget and to specification

Design, contract documentation and drawings
Successfully manage small to medium projects
Technical report writing and review
Compilation of professional services bids
Liaison with other disciplines such as geotechnical, environmental, structural, electrical and mechanical engineers
Project management and financial control

 

Essential Skills/Experience

Min 10 years’ experience in civil engineering of which at least 5 years must be in Water and Wastewater Treatment plant design
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in mechanical and electrical equipment associated with water and wastewater treatment plants
Civil, Hydraulic, Structural and Mechanical Design experience essential
Project Management experience of Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant projects essential
Good verbal and written communication skills essential
Ability to work as part of a team
Diligent and able to work under consistent pressure to meet deadlines
Accuracy and attention to detail
Good problem solving skills and application of engineering judgment
Presentable with a professional attitude
Client focused (both internal and external clients)
Good financial skill
Proficiency in AutoCad and/or other drawing/design software
High level of general computer skills e.g. Excel

 

 

Matching Indicators

BSc / B. Eng (Civil) degree from an internationally recognized University

Registered as a Professional Engineer with ECSA
10+ years’ related experience
