Job Title: Copy Writer
Job Location: Gauteng

Responsibilities:

• Receive, track and implement all copy briefs in accordance with brand CI
• Coordinate all work with Brand and Communications team and internal clients
• Translate the brief and the copy requirements into a compelling creative solution
• Direct and produce effective, impactful and compelling copy that reflects insight into the task, the brand and the target market
• A great understanding and appreciation of South Africa’s diverse demographic and cultures
• Write copy and scripts for training material, network support, electronic/digital media
• Write copy and proofread copy for own publication as well as partner publications
• Take ownership of tasks and actively manage the creative process to progress towards deadline
• Write clear, concise and grammatically correct copy that is engaging and original
• Consistently produce error-free content that is aligned with client strategy, brief and voice
• Brainstorm ideas and concepts with Brand and Communications and internal teams
• Handle multiple jobs at the same time
• Take a brief and producing excellent content with minimum guidance
• Revise or redevelop content in response to internal or external feedback
• Tailor content that resonates with different audiences
• Present final copy for sign off by PR and Communications Specialist and Head of Brand and Communications
• Brand and Communications scope of work
• The team has been configured to ensure that all projects, tasks and activities will be managed in a work process flow to ensure that timeous and successful delivery of departmental as well interdepartmental projects are achieved

Requirements:

• Three years’ Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Copywriting, Journalism and Communications
• One to three years of experience as a copywriter, writing mutiple platform content and editing
• Verbal and written skills
