Snr Systems / Business Analysts (AdW)

The role

This is a team lead role within the systems maintenance team. The System Maintenance team is responsible for the on-going support of different applications.
Members of the System Maintenance team also get involved in managing multiple projects.

Key Accountabilities

Manage a team of business analysts and/or developers on their day to day activities of providing support to the different line functions. In some cases, the team lead will be required to manage multiple projects in addition to the system maintenance team.

Review and be responsible for all deliverables produced by the team.

Liaise with line function management and ensure that systems continue to meet their requirements and also manage their level of satisfaction on the services of the maintenance team.

Where system enhancements are required, the team lead will be responsible for leading the user requirements team, estimating the cost and effort of enhancements, compile design documents and manage the changes throughout the system development life cycle.

Compile weekly and monthly status reports.

Modify existing functionality to ensure that it supports additional business processes.

Compile design documents and database design documents in accordance with business requirements reflected in the project charter.

Compile test plans that reflect different test scenarios and expected results.

Skills & experience

Project management skills and ability to manage teams in a system support environment including providing overall guidance and direction to the team.

Ability to conduct user requirements gathering sessions with different line function managers and translate the requirements into functional specifications.

A level of proficiency in Microsoft technologies used for application development.

Familiarity with configuration management tools, design tools, debugging tools, and any other environment specific tools necessary to create, test, and implement an application.

Good documentation skills and ability to complete the following documentation: functional design, detailed design, database design, technical architecture design, test scripts and testing procedures and user training manuals.

A high level of proficiency in writing Microsoft SQL queries, including sub queries and cursors.
