SALARY : Grade 1 R196 341 – R227 610 per annum (plus benefits) : Grade 2 R241 467 – R279 918 per annum (plus benefits) : Grade 3 R295 635 – R342 720 per annum (plus benefits)

CENTRE : Sedibeng District Health Services

REQUIREMENTS : Tertiary qualification in Social Worker. Current registration with SACSS. Experience: Grade 1: 0-9 working experience, Grade 2: 10 years working experience, Grade 3: 20 years working experience. Computer literacy. Valid Code 8 drivers license. Experience in working in community based rehabilitation setting. Good communication skills, interpersonal skills, problem solving skills and organizing skills. Knowledge in the relevant policies, protocols and guidelines. Must be proactive, innovative and independent team leader.

PERSON PROFILE: Excellent time management, organizational skills, communication skills, Selfmotivated and goal orientated. Analytical and solution orientated. Ability to effectively communicate to Technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization.

DUTIES : Render Social Work services in the district that complies with the standards and norms as Indicated by Health Policies. Provide community based social work with the focus on health promotion, prevention and community. Complete monthly stats, report and other administrative task for social work services. Implement and contribute to the proper utilization of allocated financial and physical resources. Implement quality assurance polices and develop appropriate quality improvement plan for the rehab and social work unit. Comply with staff appraisal, development, coaching and mentoring. Attend staff meeting, social work forums and quality assurance meeting. Ensure adherence of government policies and protocols including National Core Standards, Batho Pele and Patient Rights. Sign a performance contract on annual basis. Take part in the Gauteng Turnaround Strategy, PHC Reengineering and Establishment of the Sub-districts.
