SOCIAL WORK POLICY DEVELOPER –SOCIAL CRIME PREVENTION AND VICTIM EMPOWERMENT 4 POSTS

SALARY : R 279 918 per annum plus benefits
CENTRE : Head Office Johannesburg
REQUIREMENTS : Degree in Social Work with 10 years social work experience in Social Welfare Services sector. Knowledge and understanding of legislative, policy and Institutional frameworks governing child care and protection functions in the Sector.
Knowledge and understanding of departmental child care and protection priorities, commitments, policies, procedures and processes. Good reporting, project and programme management, monitoring and evaluation, negotiation and conflict resolution, Social empowerment and Social intervention skills, Ability to review, develop, interpret and apply Social Work Policies
DUTIES : Implement Social crime awareness and prevention programmes. Design and schedule social crime awareness and prevention programmes. Monitor the implementation of diversion programmes to youth in conflict with the law. Implement victim empowerment programmes by conducting the placement of victims of crime and violence in shelters. Programme performance by submitting ad-hoc oversight reports as requested. Prepare and submit quarterly performance report on social crime prevention programmes.
