Society for Family Health (SFH) is a South African affiliate of Population Services International (PSI), an international NGO network operational in over 70 countries. SFH in South Africa concentrates on issues of HIV/ AIDS. As part of their HIV/AIDS control efforts, SFH is using social marketing to motivate behaviour change with respect to consistent condom use, HIV testing and other safer behaviours.
Job Title: VMMC Site Manager
Location: UMgungundlovu

Employment status: Project based contract
RESPONSIBILITIES include:
Goals and strategy
- Ensure that the MMC fixed site and or attached outreach mobile services reach weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual targets
- Develop weekly and monthly operational plans for the site advised by allocated targets
- Ensure periodic and timely evaluation of the operational plan and take relevant action where necessary
- Ensure alignment of operational plans to the broader SFH strategy for MMC.
Management
- Plan and coordinate site activities
- Ensure the provision of high quality MMC services according to guidelines and protocols;
- Facilitate implementation of periodic client satisfaction surveys
- Ensure infection control measures are in place and adhered to at all times
- Ensure debriefing sessions are conducted as per schedule and protocol
- Conduct weekly and monthly site management and staff meetings, including QA and CQI meetings
- Supervise all staff at the site Identify training needs in conjunction with departmental heads
- Ensure stock levels are maintained and managed at all times
- Liaise with district Department of Health for HIV Rapid Test Kits stock and other supplies
- Ensure clients records are kept confidential and stored in secure and lockable place
- Manage disciplinary procedures in the event of misconduct
- Responsible for management of all assets at the site
Stakeholder Relations and Management
- Represent SFH at all local stakeholder meetings
- Liaise with different stakeholders in the
Personal Development
- Facilitate and/or provide personal development of staff and facilitate training where applicable
- Ensure supervision and mentoring of new staff
Stock Control and Management
Reporting
- Compile and submit weekly and monthly reports
- Ensure accurate and complete data is collected and included on reporting tools as required
- Ensure that reports are aligned to donor and SFH requirement
Finance
- Monitoring petty cash
- Submit expense recons to the finance department as or when required.
- Submit advance request and reconciliation to project manager as per policy guidelines
QUALIFICATIONS include:
- Relevant Diploma or Degree
- Drivers’ license
- At least 3 years project management or general management experience
- At least 3 years’ experience working in HIV and AIDS field
- At least 3 years’ experience in MMC service delivery, QA and/or program implementation
- Experience in Training and public speaking
- Experience in supervising diverse teams
- Computer literate MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Ability to work independently and pro-actively, and as part of a team
