Job Title: Enterprise Development Manager
Job Location: Midrand, Johannesburg
Salary: Market related and negotiable
Responsibilities:
- Manage Softstart BTI’s business incubation portfolio
- Recruit, induct and place new companies in the programme, including relevant expertise that will support the programme
- Implement Softstart BTI’s incubation guidelines
- Continuously monitor, assess and evaluate the development of incubated companies
- Facilitate strategic sessions such as incubated companies’ CEO forum meetings, networking events and business seminars
- Facilitate the graduation of companies in line with the Incubation model
- Conduct Outreach programmes to create awareness of Softstart BTI’s offering
- Build a strong pipeline of innovative companies for the programme
- Create links with Universities/TVET colleges, other incubators, and community based business centres
- Stakeholder relations management and resource mobilisation
- Maintain and monitor relations with development agencies, Institutions of Higher Learning, government departments, and private sector companies
- Supervise and performance manage staff including resources under the Enterprise Development Unit
- Develop and present monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc report as when needed
Requirements:
- Matric
- B Com or BSc degree in Information Systems / Computer Science / Business Management / Economics or equivalent
- Proven experience in small business development
- Three years’ management experience
- Background in the ICT sector with innovation advantageous
- Leadership, project management, facilitation, presentation, report writing, attention to detail,
- Computer literacy
- Valid driver’s licence
