Job Title: Prevention Support Counselor
Location: Johannesburg,KZN,Western Cape,Eastern Cape,Mpumalanga and Limpopo.

The purpose of the position is to be responsible for performing HIV Testing Services (HTS) at the DCS centers, overseeing the distribution of condoms, and conducting follow-up with DCS clinic staff to ensure that inmates are linked to care and support services that are rendered in Correctional facilities.

Responsibilities: 

  • Planning
  • HIV Testing and  Counselling
  • Condom Distribution
  • Monitoring and Evaluation
  • Quality Assurance and Quality Improvements (QA/QI);
  • Report Writing
  • General Administration

Required:

  • A post-matric qualification will be preferred[LM2] ;
  • HIV/AIDS Counselling and Testing Certificate; would be Advantageous Auxiliary Social Work qualification or similar experience/qualification;
  • Knowledge of similar prevention and/or care and support programs will be a distinct advantage.
  • Skills and additional Competencies:
  • Familiar with USG/CDC/USAID funding rules
  • Travel up to 70% within South Africa
