The ideal candidate will have the following competencies:
Statutory and policy provisions which regulate the electrical/electronic engineering profession
Of how electrical engineering fits into the broader spectrum of Engineering
A basic mechanical engineering understanding
Creative, lateral thinking and problem-solving approaches
Apply electrical/electronic engineering techniques and practices within a specific manufacturing area
Apply theoretical, problem-solving and lateral thinking in the design and assessment of equipment design.
Communicate (verbal and/or written) in terms of work sheets, reports and on-the job instructions
Diagnose electrical/electronic problems as part of an integrated manufacturing systems.
Interface with other engineering disciplines to meet business and/or project management objectives
Interpret electrical/electronic plans and flow diagrams and other technical sources
Work to high levels of safety and good electrical/electronic practice
High energy levels
