Job Title: Inspector: Aeronautical Information Services (AIS)
Location: Midrand, Gauteng, South Africa

Job Summary:
Oversight:

Certification of Aeronautical Information Service providers
Conduct inspections and audits of the Aeronautical Information Management as required by the annual inspection plan.
Propose amendment to Manual of Procedure and Technical guidance Manual. ISO procedures and forms.

Planning and Administration:

Plan for inspections, audits and surveillance activities of Aeronautical Information Management (AIM).
Ensure completeness of inspection reports.
Make appropriate recommendations

Quality Management:

Ensure compliance with ICAO & ISO Standards to be applied in the field of operations of Aeronautical Information Management
Accountable for compliance with Centralised Aeronautical database processes.
Ensure compliance with QMS.

Receive, validate, verify, approval and maintenance of aeronautical information/data

Receive, validate, verify, approval and maintenance of aeronautical information/data for publication in the Centralised Aviation database.
Accountable for the overall publication of aeronautical information/data for the safe air navigation services.
Process applications for flexible use of airspace.
Coordinate with data providers
Receive and process applications for the registration of ICAO Radio Telephony call signs.
Receive and process applications for the registration of ICAO Location indicators

Liaison:

Coordination with all stakeholders in respect of the functioning of AIM and to provide input at any ATM forum where required.
To provide consultation on AIM matters.

To provide general aviation support service to airport, airlines and other operators in the form of information relating to safety operations.

To monitor client satisfaction regarding services provided and their changing needs.
Draft and negotiate Service Level Agreements with data providers.

Enforcement:

Propose and submit regulation review to CARCOM.
Follow up on findings and propose enforcement where necessary.
Ensure compliance in aerodrome safety management & procedure manual

Requirements
Grade 12 and an ICAO recognized AIS Diploma.

Ideal Qualifications Aeronautical Information Services Core content course

3 years experience in (AIS )Aeronautical Information Service Operations.
