South African National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (SANCA) is a non-governmental organisation whose major objectives are the prevention and treatment of Alcohol and Drug Dependence.

The first of these objectives is mainly achieved through the provision of treatment services for chemically dependent people and their families (Chemical dependence is an umbrella term used to describe both alcoholism and drug dependence)

Job Location: Limpopo

Responsibilities:

•  Screening and Assessment of Outpatients Clients
•  Outpatient Treatment (individual and group therapy)
•  Consolidation of monthly stats and reports
•  Render prevention services
•  Marketing and Fundraising
•  Family Therapy and Support Groups
•  Render Aftercare Treatment services
•  Manage satellite/mobile office
•  Training of Volunteers and Professionals on SANCA programs.

Requirements:

•  Bachelor of Social Work & Current registration with the Council (SACSSP)
•  Bi-lingual
•  Experience in the field of Substance Use Disorder is an advantage
•  Valid Driver’s License – Code 8 or 10
•  Therapeutic and Presentation skills
•  Knowledge and experience of Excel, Outlook, Word and Internet
•  Good verbal and written communication skills
•  Must show initiative and be proactive
•  Being able to multi-task is essential
