Job Title: Legal Services Manager
Location: Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa

Job Summary:

The following opportunity exists in the Head Office situated in Pretoria, Gauteng to be filled by an individual with the relevant skills, drive, competencies, qualifications.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for the effective and efficient management of the legal services unit, whose role is to provide legal advisory services and ensuring effective management of legal and contractual risks for SANSA.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have:

• At least 5 years legal experience, ideally in a public sector entity, with a proven track record in providing accurate and effective legal counsel • Proven record of adding value to an organisation through the development of comprehensive contract documents that mitigate risks and penalties • An LLB degree • A Master’s degree/and space law qualification will be an added advantage • Good
management and leadership skills • Excellent relationship management and communication skills necessary for interaction with stakeholders, including the judicial system and negotiating parties • Knowledge and experience with laws dealing with government and/ or commercial contract administration, particularly contract negotiation, preparation and administration • Ability to provide independent advice (orally and in writing) to senior and executive management • Success in managing and conducting a variety of litigation matters • Good planning and organisations kills • Proven ability to delicately solve sensitive matters.
