The South African Police Service is hiring 42 people in the following positions:

  • Administration Clerks (23 Posts)
  • Provisioning Admin Clerks (5 Posts)
  • Registration Clerk (2 Posts)
  • State Accountant I (4 Posts)
  • Personnel Officer I (4 Posts)
  • Secretarial Posts (x 4)

Level 5: Entry Level Public Service Act Personnel: Operational Response Services

The generic minimum requirements applicable to the posts are as follows:

  • Competency in the post-specific core functions
  • A Senior Certificate or at least an completed applicable SAQA-accredited NQF 4 qualification
  • Fluency in at least two of the official languages, of which one must be English
  • South African citizenship
  • No criminal record or pending criminal/departmental or civil cases
  • The ability to render at least 10 years’ pensionable service.
  • 2 years’ appropriate/relevant experience in the core functions of the post and the completion of internship in the Public Service may serve as advantages.

  • Administer the receiving and distribution of all faxes and e-mails

  • Administer and capture activities in respect of maintenance and fitness

5. Administration Clerk (4 Posts) –  National Operational Coordination Section: Operations

Operations:Analysis and Monitoring

Core functions:

  • Monitor and report public order situations nationally
  • Monitor National Operations
  • Gather and report serious crime information nationally
  • Analyse serious crime information
  • Capture and electronically monitor events in terms of the Safety and Sports and Recreational Events Act through the Incident Information System (IRIS)
  • Peruse Incident Registration Information System (IRIS) for incidents
  • Compile daily situation and analysis reports.

 

 

6. Administration Clerk – National Operational Coordination Section: Operations

  • Coordinate planning meetings for relevant SAPS/ SANDF role-players
  • Handle and properly file all correspondence in terms of the brought forward system

  • Compile and consolidate debriefing reports for SAPS/ SAN DF Operations

 

 

7. Administration Clerk – National Operational Coordination Section: Operations

Core functions:

  • Record all applications for categorisation and forward to the relevant role-players in terms of standard operational procedures
  • Type, update and file operational plans and letters to Provincial Commissioners for inspection
  • Compile, record and submit itineraries for future reference
  • Establish and maintain a database of all categorised events and plans to be updated and available for future reference.

 

 

8. Administration Clerk (5 Posts) – Specialised Operations National Intervention Unit
