Restaurant Manager – Plettenberg BayGorgeous Restaurant based Plettenberg Bay is looking for a Restaurant Manager who is willing to lead by example, be prepared to work extended hours and be 100% dedicated to the establishment.Guest Centric, driven to market, promote, sell and upsell full range of services, Passionate about training and upskilling and working in high volume, fast paced environment – remain calm under pressure and be an excellent innovative problem solver.

 

Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited:

  • Responsible for the daily operations, profitability and customer satisfaction
  • Staff – management of all FOH and BOH staff, recruitment, training, mentoring, upskilling, disciplinary procedures, etc.
  • Restaurant – oversight of the restaurant, including maintenance, housekeeping, health, safety and hygiene standards, food safety standards,
  • Oversight in conjunction with head Chef of menus, specials and promotions
  • Manage all compliance requirements – liquor license, health and safety, kitchen standards, etc.
  • Marketing of the restaurants through various mediums – drive and develop new business
  • Stock control and asset management – oversight of stock control, stock rotation, procurement, and asset management of all equipment FOH and BOH
  • Guest Relations Management – ensure that all guest experience is positive, address any negative feedback or problems experienced
  • Manage profitability of the establishment
  • Any other duties as required by owner

Qualifications:

  • Hospitality Diploma / Certificate
  • Fluent in English and Afrikaans
  • Fully computer literate – MS Office / POS systems
  • 5-8 years experience within a similar role
  • Own reliable transport
