St Bernard’s Hospice is a not for profit, public benefit organisation that was established in 1991 with the sole purpose of providing quality palliative care for people battling with life-limiting or diseases such as Cancer, Motor Neuron Disease, Parkinson’s, HIV and TB. The hospice is proud to be serving the East London community for 27 years.

Job Title: Administrative Receptionist
Salary: R96 000 to R126 000 yearly depending on relevant experience
Start date: 19 November 2018

Responsibilities:

  • Reception and Secretarial
  • Office administration, including but not limited to, patient file administration and financial handling of Petty Cash, banking and Procurement
  • Stock Control
  • Health and Safety
  • Maintenance of properties
  • Housekeeping

Requirements:

  • Proficient Computer Skills in Microsoft Office  (Outlook, Excel and Word)
  • Recordkeeping and administration skills
  • Bilingual, with written and spoken command of English
  • Ability to work under high pressure in diverse settings
  • Valid code 08 Driver’s licence essential
  • Qualification in secretarial functions will be advantageous
  • Energetic, compassionate and friendly person without any prejudices, willing to go the extra mile for his/her organisation
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, as well as independently and be willing to adjust to a vibrant environment that changes often
