The trainee compliance officer will assist with the duties and tasks associated with the roles and responsibilities of a compliance officer in Standard Bank South Africa (SBSA) and the banking industry. This involves the understanding of various regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures and facilitates the adherence thereof by business. This job requires attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
•Work in teams to ensure that greater results are achieved through establishing and maintaining healthy relationships.
•Work hard at establishing healthy relationships through networking with all stakeholders to understand the business of banking in the different business units and areas.

Projects / Assignments
•Assist business in making sure that they meet all their legal and regulatory obligations by facilitating compliance risk management activities in various business units and areas.
•Assist in monitoring, managing business performance and supporting business development
•Report on work and learning activities on a monthly basis.
•Report on compliance training to business.
Key performance measures:
Knowledge of CRMP, CM, ML&TFC, CP, RB, I, WM, WB and CMan is demonstrated through interaction with compliance staff and business and allocate assignments.
•A portfolio of evidence on the CRMP activities is submitted that complies with the assessment requirements.
•A portfolio of evidence on the monitoring activities is submitted that complies with the assessment requirements.
