Vacancy Details

Are you looking to launch your career in IT support? Do you have a passion for troubleshooting, networking, and VoIP services? Our client, a provider of voice and data solutions, is seeking a Junior Support Technician to join their growing team in Cape Town.

 

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Handling incoming support calls and assisting clients with first-line checks (internet and voice services).
  • Logging and tracking support tickets with service providers while ensuring timely follow-ups.
  • Providing clear and professional feedback to clients on outstanding support issues.
  • Working on hosted PBX systems (Porta and Bicom), including:
  • Creating client accounts
  • Setting up extensions
  • Configuring call flows and hosted PBX systems
  • Configuring handsets and routers.
  •  Assisting with on-site visits and installations when required.
  • Collaborating with the team to ensure seamless service delivery.

Candidate Requirements

  • Relevant IT Diploma (Networking, Information Technology, or related field)
  • Based in Cape Town with a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle (preferred).
  • Knowledge of networking principles and VoIP technology.
  •  Strong customer service skills with a friendly, solutions-driven approach.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  •  Ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team.
