The position below has become available at our West Coast Garden Centre to maximize the sales of the Company’s range of products in the Shop Area through effective displays and assistance to customers in a helpful and friendly manner, offering advice as and when required.

Specification
•The Sales Assistant should have an intimate knowledge of all products sold in the Garden Centre Shop Area. If knowledge is lacking in any products, this must be brought to the attention of management that the necessary training can be given.
•The Sales Assistant must at all times be clean, well groomed and well dressed in Company uniform and as a representative of the Company be courteous and helpful at all times particularly when dealing with customers.
•Provides excellent, professional customer service at all times; ensuring a positive shopping experience.
•Approach and assists customers with product selection and answers customer queries, offering assistance to all customers.
•Provides prompt feedback to customers with regard to outstanding queries, within the time frames requested.
•Accepts telephone orders and queries in a professional manner in line with laid down procedures.
•Arranges and displays promotional material and goods as and when required.
•Upsell and cross-sell to customers and informs them about promotions in order to maximise sales.
•Assist with Unpacking and labelling of stock received.
•Maintains display shelves in a clean and tidy order ensuring that stock is always sufficient to meet the demand and that stock rotation takes place in a “first in-first out” basis.

Requirements
• Matric
• 2 years relevant experience
