Statistics South Africa Internship Programme

Statistics South Africa invite graduates in the field of Economics and Econometrics to join the national accounts capacity development programme, which aims to strengthen and substantially broaden the scope of the department’s work in the compilation of national accounts. This initiative constitutes a unique opportunity for young macro-economists and econometricians to develop, test and further improve their skills in the area of national accounting, statistical surveys, data analysis, index numbers and research.

Criteria

A Bachelors degree in Economics or Econometrics with significant emphasis on macroeconomics is considered essential, and postgraduate qualifications would be an added advantage. Undergraduate subjects in statistics and accounting would be advantageous.
