Stefanutti Stocks Western Cape is looking for an enthusiastic and specialized Health and Safety Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will oversee and direct all policies with regards to an employer’s safety program. The manager develops and administers programs that educate employees on, and ensure compliance with, all regulations issued by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and with other applicable regulations. The safety manager works with the organization’s management team to evaluate and to administer policy conformance. Health and Safety Manager manages, train and develops a team of Safety Officers ensuring excellence in Health and Safety in projects.
Candidates should be able to decide and initiate action and be highly motivated, with the ability to operate efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The best candidates will be detailed orientated and organized team players with demonstrated delivery in high pressure situations. Job Summary:
•Leadership skills and relevant labour legislation experience
•Health and safety legislation & implementation
•Knowledge of Health & Safety practices & systems
•Knowledge and experience with ISO 45001 management
•Strong administration and MS Office skills
•Excellent communication skills
Requirements:
•Professionally registered as a Safety Officer or Safety Manager with SACPCMP
•Ideally possesses a national diploma or degree from an accredited post-secondary institution within construction engineering, occupational health and safety or CHSM.
