Stellenbosch Vacancies: Junior Credit Analyst

Requirements:

• B Com (Hons) (Mathematical Statistics / Actuarial Science)
• M Com (Mathematical Statistics / Actuarial Science) would be preferred
• At least one year experience in an analytical role, preferably in the financial services industry
• Knowledge of:
• Statistical principles
• Bad debt provision models for personal loans
• Basel and SARB capital requirements
• The National Credit Act (NCA)
• Database structure design and data extraction principles
• Ability to apply financial mathematics, discount future cash flows and performbreakeven interest calculations
• Advanced Excel and Word
• SQL and/or SAS experience
• Numeric and mathematical skills
• Communication skills (verbal and written)
• Analytical skills
• Problem solving skill
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment
• Ability to work in accordance with deadlines
• Clear credit and criminal record
