Vacancy Details

We are looking for candidates who have completed their SAICA articles for a role as a Junior Verifications Analyst based in Centurion.

Requirements:

  • Com Accounting, B. Com Accounting Honours, or Financial Degree/Diploma.
  • SAICA Articles with an accounting firm (small or large)
  • 2–4 years of work experience in the accounting/finance/costing field (SAICA articles)
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statement analysis.
  • Proven experience in client-facing roles with excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Competency, potential, and interpersonal skills are the primary criteria. Proven ability to establish rapport and build strong relationships with a portfolio of clients, including senior executives.
  • A valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle are essential.

Responsibilities:
Overview:
This role involves verifying the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) Status of small, medium, and large companies, including JSE-listed and multinational organizations

  • Perform BBBEE verifications in accordance with the DTI’s BBBEE Codes of Good Practice, sector codes, and the company’s verification methodology.
  • Conduct client kick-off meetings independently and foster client relationships.
  • Interpret, verify, and effectively communicate all elements of the BBBEE scorecard, excluding complex ownership structures.
  • Prepare comprehensive and high-quality verification files and finalize results.
  • Present findings to client teams of up to 8 people.
  • Address objections, manage challenging questions, and navigate conflict situations.
  • Provide expert responses to client inquiries regarding B-BBEE verification and implementation issues.
