We are looking for a mid-weight copywriter that will be responsible for conceptualising, writing and proof reading effective, innovative and compelling response driven copy.

This person must have the competency to write copy across a variety of channels, including direct marketing, social media, advertising, branding, website & published media channels.

The key responsibilities include:
Conceptualisation of new campaigns in conjunction with the rest of the creative and/or marketing team
Identifying new marketing trends and themes to employ in internal or external campaigns
Compilation of questionnaires or scripts
Interviewing of respondents for article pieces
Reasearching topics where necessary & compiling information forcopywriting
Writing copy from copy briefs and basic information for brochures, magazines, posters, advertising, websites etc.
Writing creative rationales for storyboards or creative draft presentations
Initialising Facebook & social media channels for new clients or internally and maintaining these channels on a weekly or monthly base, pending requirements
Proof reading and editing of all copy pieces before publishing
Researching & writing PR articles for clients
Maintaining internal and/or client websites with news & PR articles on a monthly basis
Liaising with the rest of the creative department / account executives in brainstorming / communication sessions and in the execution of day to day duties

Job Requirements
Relevant 3 year degree or diploma in language practice/languages
At least 2 years experience in the marketing and/or advertising field
Proven track record in both long & short copy, specifically pertaining todirect marketing / response driven writing
Excellent expertise in social media
Fully proficient in MS Office
Excellent written & verbal skills English

Expertise in one or more indigenous language advantageous

Self motivated with self starting capabilities (strong initiative)
Ability to think outside the box & translate creative ideas into workable themes and campaigns
Excellent communication skills
Must be very detailed driven
Must be able to work independently, as well as work under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines
Must possess strong administrative skills, specifically with regards to filing & time record keeping
Must be very dynamic & enthusiastic
