Assistant Manager: Supply Chain Management (Asset and Inventory Management)
Salary: R252 144 –R297 006 p.a. exclusive of benefits
Location: Mpumalanga Regional Office, Nelspruit (Ref No.: 4/28)
Candidates should hold a 3 year Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma with finance or commercial related subjects coupled with 3 years supervisory experience in the various disciplines related to financial management;
Extensive knowledge, experience, interpretation, and application of accrual accounting and GRAP standards; Knowledge of Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), Treasury Regulations on public entity and other relevant regulations.
ERP knowledge on Oracle or SAP or AccPacc or accrual accounting compliant systems and a valid driver’s license are essential.
The incumbent will Implement policies in respect of inventory and asset management;
Establish proper control system for all department inventory and assets and develop preventative mechanisms to eliminate theft, losses, wastage ad misuse of inventory and assets; Develop processes and procedures for the effective, efficient, economical and transparent use of the departmental inventory and assets;
Ensure proper inventory control including the assessment of obsolete/damaged inventory, monthly analysis of requisitions and maintaining an inventory register;
Conduct asset verification and reconcile the fixed asset register to the trial balance, Management of leasehold assets including reconciliation of the lease register;
Implement Supply Chain Management policies and practices with applicable GRAP standards, SA-GAAP and IFRS, PFMA, Treasury Regulations, Constitution, Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act and other various regulations.
