SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT OFFICER REF NO: CPSI/002
SALARY : R183 438 per annum (Level 7). Annual progression up to maximum salary of
R216 084 per annum is possible subject to satisfactory performance.
CENTRE : Pretoria, Centurion
REQUIREMENTS : Candidates should hold at three year National Diploma in Supply Chain
Management or equivalent qualification at NQF level 6, coupled with 3 to 5 years’
experience in Supply Chain Management; Knowledge of Public Finance
Management Act (PFMA), Treasury Regulations and other relevant regulations;
Knowledge of Supply Chain Management Strategies, Policies, Procedures and
Systems, In-depth knowledge of LOGIS system.
DUTIES : The incumbent will assist with the overall management of the unit; implementing
the demand plan for financial year; Manage and maintain supplier database;
draft bid documents and requests for quotations, liaise with suppliers and service
providers. Provide internal control services; provide assets management
services; assist in the management of the resources in the unit. Administer and
provide logistic management services. Ensure that all stores have sufficient stock
all times and that posting order store items in time by applying precautionary
factor analysis of maximum and minimum levels. Management of warehouses
and transit by ensuring that: optimum safe – keeping of store items are always
maintained. Stocktaking of stores is regularly done as prescribed by the
prescripts and redundant, damage and obsolete items are regularly disposed.
Ensure proper reporting and reconciliation on stores.
