Financial

Manage total demand units for Aspen / GSK customers.

Manage monthly finished goods inventory of +/-R 1bn.

Manage stock availability in Regional Distribution Centre’s

Compile and manage Supply Chain Division budget.

Expenditure is controlled and reviewed against budget.

Provide a 24 month rolling forecast within 85% accuracy for Aspen
budgeting purposes.

Responsible for stock management business continuity plan.
Customer Service

Internal/external customer issues are dealt with in line with customer
service practice.

Customer feedback is communicated to relevant departments.

Regular feedback sessions are held with customers to ensure continual
improvement.

 

 

Supply Chain

To ensure optimum integration between product / service value, market
accommodation and cash flows.

Ensure customer driven supply chain synchronization with real time visibility.
Converted into Operational Plan.
Practical contingency plans, risks, failure mechanisms are sourced and tested for implementation.

Effective integration of Sales and Operations Planning.

Calculate and communicate dependent demand. Demand Management
Demand Management

Manage the Forecasting business process, collaborative planning and “demand shaping”.

Identify, analyze and communicate the drivers of demand to manufacturing
entities.

Provide advanced early warnings regarding demand volatility or proactive
signaling.

Innovative business concepts are implemented.

Deadlines and target dates are measured against integrated Supply Chain
plan/strategy.

Provide supply chain visibility of unconstrained demand plan with JE
recommended orders.

 
Supply

Responsible for maximizing Customer Service Level at lowest logical cost

Responsible for improving manufacturing sites service levels by means of demand stability.

Reduce risk of Stock Outs.

Responsible for effective communication with Marketing / Manufacturing / Finance.

 
Deployment

Manage Deployment requirements as per company policy.

Prioritize and manage stock shortages.

Manage excess stocks.

Manage short-dated stock.

Manage replenishment deviations to Service Agreement.

Monitor in-transit Warehouse.

 
Stock Policy

Manage the profiling for ABC classifications – identify Volume / Turnover / Margin per therapeutic category.

Manage inventory model commensurate with the ABC classification.

Review Service Target Levels.

 
Stock Management

Manage process of “fair share” allocation of stock for Private / State / Export.

Evaluate and explore strategies to reduce excess stock.

Review Short-dated stock with Marketing and initiate action plans.

Negotiate shelf extension request with Regulatory Affairs.

Manage the discontinued product process with factories and marketing.

Manage bi-annually audited stock counts of all nationally deployed finished goods inventory (June and November).

 
New Product Launches

In liaison with NPL, manage launch process (from forecasting to launch).

Communication – Marketing / Factory / NPL.

Accelerate where possible the new product introductions.

Elevate any financial risk re short dated/write off of stock.

 
Acquisitions

Manage the transfer of ownership of stock, demand/supply to Aspen
ensuring no disruptions in supply and any risks elevated to senior management.
Baan Maintenance/ JE Maintenance/ Manugistics

Item Master data integrity Baan and JE.

Maintain company calendar and planning periods for BAAN Company 10.

Accuracy of Supply Chain set up in Just Enough.

 
IT

Continuous development with software applications to improve the Supply Chain.

Ensure upgrades for “Just Enough” projects are fully implemented.

Ensure full buy-in, training and competency of demand management end users.

Provide ongoing assessment and feedback of development.

Learning achievements are acknowledged to improve staff performance and
motivation.

Team effectiveness is facilitated and assessed against standards and
contingencies applied when required.

On the job assessment and feedback occur timeously.

 
Resolve IR issues

Performance issues are accurately identified and action is instituted.

Potential conflict is resolved according to IR procedures.

Disciplinary action is taken according to the IR policy – in cases of extreme poor performance and inappropriate behaviour by staff.
Identify development / training needs of self and team

Staff performance is monitored against standards and regular feedback is
provided.

Individual goals are developed and aligned to team goals and roles are
clearly defined as per role profile.

Performance discussions are held regularly to identify learning requirements
