Support Engineer Job Vacancy at Bidvest

Bidvest Panalpina Logistics is seeking a Support Engineer to provide an excellent service to all End Users within BPL and upon request external clients. Providing telephonic, remote and onsite support for all BPL infrastructure related hardware and appropriate software, as well as participating in projects where required

Qualifications & Experience

•Matric (Grade 12)
•Relevant Advanced Diploma
•ITIL Foundation
•Microsoft operational experience (3 years required)
•Extensive experience in Microsoft Windows 7 and Microsoft Office Suite
•Experience in MS Administration modules, the following will be required:
o AD Administration
o File Server Administration
o Terminal Server Administration
o Print Server Administration

Key Responsibilities

•Administer workstations and servers as per laid down processes and procedures
•Manage follow-up and set-up of processes and procedures
•Documentation skills
•Managing and stabilising network and desktop environment
•Understanding of LAN and WAN with basic troubleshooting
•Problem, and incident management
•Hardware troubleshooting and diagnostics
•System support of all clients in BPL as per SLA
•Timeous escalation when unable to resolve problems/issues timeously
